SMS stands for "short message system".
This protocol lets you send text messages via your mobile phone.
All GSM mobile handsets have SMS capabilities, and most phones in Asia use GSM.

Every phone has a slightly different way to get to the SMS feature. Ask your carrier or mobile phone manufacturer for instructions.
To use Yahoo! services over SMS, instead
of clicking on links like on the web or on WAP, you send an SMS to the
Yahoo! Shortcode like you would send an SMS to a friend. The only difference is that you include Yahoo! commands in your message.
